Room 11 · Hard-Edge

Four Quarters II

The four-panel study, taken further — a poured window let into the geometry.

Hangs in Hard-Edge, room 11 of 14: A turn away from the pour — flat fields and hard edges, primary colour set down plainly, geometry without the drip. And, latterly, geometry that is lit rather than flat: the same angular grammar worked over until the shapes hold light and lose it.
